Three 30-Minute Pain-Free Runs in a Row

Ran a short and easy 3 miles and change again today.  Played with the Nike+, recalibrating and verifying accuracy for a 7:30-ish pace on a flat route.  Felt good.  Still no cramping or pain in the calves.

I talked with Mike and he recommended taking a day off from running tomorrow and then going for 45-60 minutes on Saturday.  That'll be the real test since it's usually been around 40-45 minutes when the cramp-like sensation starts.  But if I can ease beyond that boundary, I could be good to go and ready to start marathon training in earnest.

I've gained a little weight for some reason.  It's evident with the tape measure too.  If it was just for a day or two, I wouldn't fret.  But it's been since Monday or even Sunday.  I forget.  I hope it's just one of those "terraces" or "zig zags" on the road to a leaner me.  I've had a light exercise week, for sure.  But I've also been eating pretty lean, I think.

Ah, but put that behind me.  Fat loss shouldn't be a fixation.  I just wanted to get a little leaner and it feels like I'm stuck at 145 lbs and 16% body fat.
