Can't Afford to Lose Momentum

I did not workout yesterday...again.  That makes Monday and Wednesday of this week two "rest" days.  That was not intended.

I made up for it a little bit today.  Though I didn't get out of a meeting in time to hit the pool, I did manage to get a spin session in, followed by a 3 mile jog on the treadmill.  I didn't eat much this morning, so I wasn't as energetic as I might normally be.  I even got a little light-headed during the final mile on the treadmill.

Tonight's the Thursday run with the Rock runners.  Even though I ought to be done for the day, I would like to do an easy 3-5 miles just to get a little more in since I've fallen behind.  But I want to do some strength training tomorrow and give myself a 5K test, so the wiser course would be to build whatever reserve energy I can between now and then.

I don't anticipate running on Saturday.  I've got a lot of domestic work to do.  Sunday, I was to get back on the long run train, starting with a 10-mile circuit of Del Sur.  I can't forget about the AFC half marathon coming up in about 6 weeks.  I don't want to lose my conditioning for that.

Joan and Quin leave tomorrow for Las Vegas where they'll leave the car with Bob and board the plane for NYC to retrieve Bailey from Joffrey's.  I'll have the weekend alone to tackle some home projects.  It'll be nice to have Bailey home again.  Even though he doesn't act it, I think Quin will be glad to have Bailey around again too.
