Didn't run yesterday.
1. Woke up not feeling so good: a little queasy. The discomfort lasted throughout the morning. Not sure why. I eased off by around midday.
2. Ethics training and Export rules training took away my lunch period gym time, which is when I normally get over to Pure Fitness.
3. In the afternoon, Joan had to take Bailey to San Elijo for a dance audition, leaving Quin home alone, so an after work gym session was a no go.
4. My last option was a night time run through the neighborhood after Joan and Bailey got back, but it was 9:30 by then and I just didn't feel up to it.
Very sluggish day all around. I know it won't hurt me, but psychologically I need to get back out there. I'm not sure what I want to do this weekend. I'd like to do a little exploring. I've been wanting to see if I can find a trail route to connect from 4S Ranch (Camino del Norte) through to Del Dios Hwy. I know there's a footbridge across the San Dieguito river around milepost 10 on Del Dios, but I don't think there is anyway to get from there past The Lakes or the Crosby Estates, without trespassing anyway. I'm going to see.
The other option is to run around to the southside of Black Mountain and run the service road up to the summit. I don't think I'm going to enter the 7K Summit Run on the 11th (or thereabouts). I'd rather spend my money on the Xterra 15K the weekend after. Still, running the summit would be interesting and I need to develop some good hill challenges to train for that 12% grade in the La Jolla Half Marathon in April.
I've got my marathon training plan sketched out. I get busy on Monday. I'm hoping this slack week won't hurt me.
