Took it completely easy today. Yesterday's hill work hasn't really hit me yet. I'm anticipating feeling the stiffness tomorrow morning, which I'm sure will make the first few miles of my long run a little less than enjoyable.
The left ankle is annoyingly sore, again. Just when I think I'm healed, I'm reminded that I'm not. Today's no run day should help. I also had Mike give me 20 minutes of electro-stim therapy. I'm not convinced yet that that's helping, but it's not hurting.
Light rain on and off all day has probably made the trails slop. I guess that means Lake Hodges is off for tomorrow. I'm not sure where I'm going to do this 13-14 mile run. I don't want to deal with any major hills, so the RB circuit is out. I could do the Del Sur loop. Or just Lake Miramar again. Miramar seems like such a crutch though. And repetitive. I want to feel like I'm running somewhere. I could try Black Mountain Rd to the bike path on Ted Williams Pkwy. But that's more of a point-to-point. Joan would have to come pick me up.
Shoot. I really wanted to do the San Dieguito River Park trails. Ah well. The main thing is to work on keeping heart rate low for about 2 hours worth of jogging, so as long as I'm not tempted to race or tackle steep grades, I guess it doesn't matter. I could just head out and follow my nose. That could be interesting.
