No-Run

I'm taking a recovery day a little early, after having only run Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm drawing down my miles, but I do want to run the 16-17 miles from home to work on Friday, so I have to make sure I'm rested. I'm expecting to take around 2 1/2 hours, and I'm also planning on running with my hydration pack. The last time I did, I found it to be a burden. But back then I was consumed with trying to make a time (and it was raining). I'm not going to worry about speed this time. In fact, it might help me do a proper long/slow/distance run pace.

I'm taking work clothes in today so that I'll have something to change into tomorrow morning once I've arrived and showered. And Gary will be giving me a ride home in the afternoon. Our company is hosting a breakfast at 8:30 for Bike-to-Work participants. I won't be biking, but I'll join them nonetheless since running fulfills the spirit of the event.

I have a lot of work to do today. Need to concentrate on that. It would have been tough to get a workout in during the day anyway, so taking a rest day is good for that reason too.

Thursday nights have been Survivor night for Quin and me. That's over now, until next Fall. I wish they'd show a repeat season. That'd be fun.
